Mill Pond

Another off the beaten path historic site. This one was a logging operation. They built a dam to create a mill pond and built a miles long flume to get the logs to the nearby lake and railroad. 

This was the site of the dam. The bridge is pretty amazing.

This was a cabin built by the local family. They rented it out in the summer. The most amazing part was the size of the trees used to built it!

This was part of the flume. After one of the rebuilds they put a walkway on top so people could walk the 2-3 miles to the lake instead of taking the rough road and a horse.
